We have an opening for a Landscape Architect or Planner to work on a variety of projects involving research, writing and design studies and plans for real estate developments largely in the private sector, but some public sector work as well.

The successful candidate will work under a licensed Landscape Architect analyzing local zoning and site conditions, preparing related environmental studies, and assisting with schematic residential and commercial site designs and planting plans. Work will also include involvement in other assignments that will require strong analytical and writing skills such as development reviews for local municipalities.

The successful applicant must be proficient in AutoCad. Knowledge of GIS would be a plus. Candidates must have a landscape architecture or related degree, preferably with a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a private consulting office.

Wetlands Specialist

TMA is presently looking for a Wetland Specialist, Biologist or Ecologist to assist in the delineation of Federal, State and Local wetlands. Related site investigations of habitats and ecological conditions, potential soil testing, feasibility studies, municipal planning work, and preparation of written evaluations for environmental impact statements. The ideal candidate would have a bachelors degree in biology, forestry or natural sciences. Experience in soil science, soil erosion control, landscape architecture and related skills would also be useful.

Tim Miller Associates is currently seeking a senior level traffic/transportation engineer. Ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of land use and transportation relationships, ability to prepare traffic impact studies, coordinate a team of staff persons and technicians in research and data gathering efforts, conduct trip generation and distribution studies, level of service calculations, parking and accident analyses, and use contemporary models for transportation forecasting.

Familiarity with SEQRA and excellent communication skills important to this position. The candidate should have the ability to handle client relationships, make presentations to private and governmental clients and generally represent the company at technical and policy meetings.
